Purpose of the Job

The Customer Service Clerk (CSC) acts as Postbank’s frontline banking representative inside partner retail outlets. The role supports customers who need assistance completing banking transactions while helping them transition to Postbank’s digital channels such as ATM Solutions, Mobile App and USSD services.
The CSC ensures that all assisted transactions comply with Postbank’s operational standards, governance policies, and KYC/AML requirements, while delivering a consistent and professional customer experience. Postbank is hiring

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

Matric (Grade 12) – essential
Minimum 2 years customer-facing experience in banking, retail, or financial services
Experience as a Customer Service Consultant, Cashier, or similar role is advantageous
Familiarity with Postbank or other financial systems is beneficial
Computer literacy including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Skills and Competencies

Strong listening and communication skills
Good understanding of banking products and services
Ability to communicate in the commonly used local language of the area
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Time management and stress management abilities
Basic financial and banking knowledge
Familiarity with digital banking systems (Mobile Apps, USSD, ATM services)
Experience using tablets, barcode printers, or POS systems
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and within a team
Ability to work under pressure
Honesty, integrity, and professionalism
Clean criminal record
